Questions and Answers

Ordering your wedding stationery needn’t be a daunting task. We’ve compiled the following list of frequently asked questions and answers to make things simple. If you still need answers why not email us for advice or call us on 01236 613004.

How much time should I allow?
As all of our stationery is individually handmade you need to order your invitations at least 4-5 months before the wedding date and send them out 6-8 weeks before.

When do I order Reception items?
You need to order your reception items at least a month before the day, or as soon as you have all the relevant information (confirmed guest list, order of service approved by your vicar, menu confirmed by caterer)

When do I order Thankyou cards?
You can order them when when your place your initial order for invitations or wait until you return from Honeymoon.

Can I change the colours of the designs?
Yes – you can change the colours on all of our designs to suit your own colour scheme for your wedding.

Can I change the typeface?
Yes - we have provided a few different samples for you to choose from but if you have a specific font in mind please just let us know.

Can I have the guest’s names printed on the invitations?
Yes, for a small charge, 20p per invitation guests names can be printed onto each invitation

Do you produce other items of stationery such as Table Plans and Favour tags?
Yes - we can produce Table Plans in A1 size price ranges from £50 - £70 depending on the design you have chosen.

Can I order less than 25 invitations?
Yes, there is no minimum quantity required, you can order as little or as many invitations as you wish.

What if I haven’t ordered enough?
When you place your order you should take into consideration a few spares for mistakes and add-ons. However it is no problem at all to make a few extra invitations for you if needed at a later date.

What do your prices include?
Everything except delivery. Delivery is approximately £10 by Citylink Courier, you will have two delivery charges if you have ordered items which haven’t been finalised before your invitations are dispatched, eg Order of Services, Menus, Tableplans etc.The cost of artworking, proofing, amendments at the proofing stage and VAT are included in the price. Where stated envelopes are also included.

Who do I get to check my stationery proofs?
For your invitations the bride and groom can check all the information. For menus you will need to check with your caterer or venue. For order of service you need your minister to look over the text.

Can I have proofs emailed to me?
Yes we can email pdfs to speed up the process.

When do I pay?
A 50% deposit is required when placing your order. Payment of full invoice should be made when you have received all of your order. Payment can be by cheque (payable to BoyGirlBoyGirl), or internet banking - we do not accept credit card payments over the phone. However, if your total order is less than £50, we require payment in full before we dispatch your stationery.

What do you do with my personal details?
We only collect your personal information for your order. We do not pass our clients' information on to third parties.
